In EMIS Web, clinical data can be copied from shared records to local records, assuming the sharing agreement allows it. The types of clinical data that can be copied include the following:

  • Allergies
  • Codes and Coded Values
  • Family History
  • Immunisations
  • Investigations
  • Problems (which are entered as observations but can be edited to be recorded as problems in local records)

To access and copy this data, navigate to the shared records view within the Care History or Investigations screen. Right-click the desired shared item and select Copy To Local Record. Note that copying items requires the appropriate RBAC activities in your profile, specifically B0360 for Viewing Detailed Health Records and B0790 for Performing Clinical Coding.

Copying shared clinical data to local records helps ensure that patient information is complete and accurate within a single system, which can significantly enhance patient care by reducing the chances of missing vital information.
