Adding contact details for a dummy patient

To add or edit contact details, open Registration, select your dummy patient, then click Edit Patient. In the Contact Details section, add a home or mobile telephone number, along with any email addresses. Make sure to choose whether each contact detail is verified, unverified, or requires reverification. This helps you manage the accuracy and reliability of dummy data for testing purposes.

Managing messaging preferences

  • Under Patient Messaging, decide if the patient should receive SMS or email messages. By default, an opt-in is selected for SMS messaging.
  • If needed, set Opt out of receiving SMS messages to Yes to stop outgoing texts for this dummy record.
  • Click OK to save your changes.
Using a dummy patient to practise updating contact details and testing message delivery can save time by allowing administrators to identify problems before contacting real patients.

If you want to trial messaging features more extensively, Hero Health offers tools like individual and batch messaging, enabling you to send automated updates or reminders to patients. A dummy patient record can be used to test these messages without affecting real patient data.
