Linking documents, referrals, or reviews to a problem within EMIS Web is crucial for maintaining a well-organised care record system. This process ensures that all related aspects of a patient's condition are easily accessible and associated for future consultations or reviews.
How to Link Documents to a Problem
Begin by accessing the Problems screen within EMIS Web:
- Select the required problem from the list.
- Look for the Linked Documents section in the Detailed View pane and click on Edit Links.
- In the Care Record Picker screen, use the Search View field if needed to find the relevant document.
- Select the check box next to the document you wish to link and click OK.
Linking Referrals
To link a referral, follow a similar process:
- On the Problems screen, select the relevant problem.
- In the Linked Referrals section, click Edit Links.
- Again, utilise the Search View field if necessary, select the appropriate referral, and confirm by clicking OK.
Adding a Review to a Problem
To add a review:
- Choose the applicable problem from the Problems menu.
- Within the Consultations section, click Add Review.
- Complete the details on the Consultation Properties screen and press OK, then add the consultation details as required.
Efficiently linking documents, referrals, and reviews to patient problems ensures that all relevant information is consolidated, which can save time for practitioners and improve patient management.
