To run an auto-template in EMIS Web, navigate to the Diary screen via the EMIS menu by selecting Care Record and then Diary. Once you're on the Diary screen, you can easily manage planned items and tasks, such as asthma review dates or overdue entries.
How to Run an Auto-Template:
- On the Diary ribbon, click Use Auto-Template.
- The Consultation Properties screen will appear. Complete the Date field, which defaults to today’s date, and fill out the Time field if necessary.
- Select the appropriate option in the Consultation Type field and click OK.
- The Template Runner screen appears, displaying prompts for planned items related to the protocol. Complete as many prompts as necessary and click OK.
- Processed items will be removed from the Diary screen, updating your patient’s care record accordingly.
Using auto-templates streamlines administrative tasks, enabling clinical staff to efficiently address patient care items, thereby allocating more time to patient interaction.
