Linking medication to specific problems in a patient's care record can enhance the efficiency of managing patient information and improve treatment outcomes. Follow the steps below to link medication to problems within EMIS Web:

Steps to Link Medication to Problems

1. Access the Problems section in EMIS Web by clicking the menu button, pointing to Care Record, and selecting Problems. If no patient is selected, you'll be prompted to choose one.

2. The Problems screen will be visible. On the ribbon, click Link Medication.

3. You'll see the Link Medication and Problems screen. On this screen, access the Unlinked Medication tab to display all medication not yet linked to a problem.

4. To establish a link, drag the required unlinked medication from the Medication pane and drop it under the relevant problem in the Problem Medication Links pane.

5. If you need to link additional medication to the same problem, repeat the process for each medication.

6. To unlink medication, right-click the necessary medication in the Problem Medication Links pane and select Unlink.

"Saving time and improving record accuracy, linking medication to specific problems ensures that patients receive targeted care tailored to their specific needs."
