Grouping Problems
To group problems, navigate to the 'Problems' screen via the EMIS Web menu, select the relevant issues with CTRL + click, and then use the Group Problems function on the ribbon. This allows multiple problems to be organised under a single, main heading, making it easier to view related issues at a glance.
Combining Problems
If patient records contain duplicate entries of a problem, these can be combined. From the Problems screen, select the issues to combine using CTRL + click and choose the Combine Problems option. Select which entry should remain, specifying the onset date if necessary. This helps maintain a clean and efficient care record.
Evolving Problems
Issues can evolve as diagnoses become more definitive. In this case, select related problems in the Problems screen and click Evolve Problems. This feature allows initial symptoms and final diagnoses to be unified under the confirmed diagnosis, ensuring continuity and reducing redundancy in records.
