Adding Non-Registered Patients as Free Text Contacts

If you need to keep basic contact information on file for individuals who are not formally registered, you can create a minimal free text entry in EMIS Web. This makes it possible to store essential details (like name or phone number) without going through a full registration.

Key steps:

  • Access Registration: Open the EMIS Web menu, select Registration, then Registration again.
  • Initiate Add Patient: Click Add Patient, but choose an option (for example, Dummy or Temporary) that suits your needs if the individual doesn’t require full registration.
  • Enter Free Text: Provide essential contact details in the relevant fields (e.g. name, phone number, notes) – you don’t have to complete all mandatory fields for a full registration.
  • Save the Record: Click OK when done. The record is saved, allowing you to quickly view or update their information without creating a fully registered patient.
"Adding non-registered contacts ensures quick access to crucial details, improving communication and efficiency without needing a complete registration."
