Incomplete registration tasks in EMIS Web can sometimes appear for patients who have been registered with your organisation for a long period. Typically, this arises due to missing mandatory information at the time of initial registration. If vital details like the registering GP have changed or become inactive, it might trigger incomplete registration tasks.

Completing Incomplete Registration Tasks

To address incomplete registration tasks, follow these steps:

  • Access the Registration Workflow by clicking the EMIS Web menu, navigating to Workflow, and selecting Workflow Manager. From there, choose Registration in the navigation pane.
  • Under the GP Links - Outbox section, click New Registrations to view transaction details.
  • Identify transactions marked as Incomplete in the Transaction Status column.
  • Select the relevant transaction and use the Complete button on the ribbon to review the missing details. Fields with a red asterisk * indicate required information that needs completing.
  • Once completed, click OK. The transaction status should now display Ready to Send, and it will be transmitted in the next schedule.

Handling Persistent Incomplete Tasks

If you notice that patients registered for a long time continually have incomplete tasks, it may point to an issue with an inactive registering GP. In such cases, it's advisable to log a case with the Service Desk for further investigation to ensure smooth registration workflow.
