When a new registration remains at the "Delivered" status after your trading partner has approved it, it usually indicates a miscommunication or transmission delay between EMIS Web and your trading partner. Here’s how you can proceed to ensure that the registration status is updated correctly.
Steps to Address Registration Status Issues
1. Verify Approval
First, contact your trading partner to confirm that they have indeed approved the registration. Ask for an interchange number and confirm any specific details about the approval.
2. Check Interchange Status
Navigate to the Registration Workflow in EMIS Web. In the GP Links - Outbox, select the New Registrations section. Look for the transaction in question, focusing on the "Interchange number". Confirm its status; if the interchange appears as "Acknowledged", then it was successfully received but not processed further.
3. Manual Approval
Should the trading partner confirm the registration approval, manually approve the transaction in EMIS Web. Use the Approve function on the ribbon, ensure all necessary patient details are complete such as the NHS number, and update the status to "Accepted".
4. Address Transmission Issues
If the transmission seems problematic and the status remains "Delivered", request an error report from the trading partner and present it to EMIS Support for further assistance.
Efficiently managing registration statuses ensure accurate and up-to-date patient records, minimising administrative delays and ensuring patient care doesn’t suffer from data transmission issues.
