Patients using GP Connect to book appointments in an EMIS Hub will automatically become inactive after 28 days. This status change helps in managing patient data effectively by removing outdated appointments and decluttering the system. However, if you need to make a patient active again for operational purposes, you can easily re-register them.
Re-registering Patients in the Hub
To re-register a patient and ensure all functionalities such as consultation write back remain active, navigate to the Registration section within the EMIS Hub. Follow these steps:
- Access Registration in the EMIS system.
- Enter the patient's details to reactivate their status.
- Ensure all their information is up to date to avoid any disruptions in the consultation write back process.
"Keeping appointments and consultation data organised in this manner helps reduce the workload for practice administrators and maintains privacy, allowing for efficient healthcare management."
