Options Available
Three primary options are available for prescribing variable use medications:
- Always Split - This default setting automatically issues the variable use medication on a separate prescription from non-variable ones.
- Prompt User to Split - When you issue multiple medications, a prompt allows you to decide whether to print the variable use medication on a separate prescription or keep it combined.
- Disabled - This prevents the issuing of variable use medications altogether. If you attempt to prescribe these, you will be prompted to reconfigure them as standard use medications.
