To request EMIS to enable the ITK Receipt (QF976) for 111 direct booking in an Enhanced Access hub, follow these steps:
Set Up Organisation Group
Begin by navigating to Configuration > Organisation Configuration within EMIS Web. Here, you will need to add a new Organisation Group. This group should contain the organisations of your Primary Care Network (PCN) Hub and your local 111 Provider. Utilize the National Codes to ensure accurate inclusion of each organisation.
Activate ITK Messaging
EMIS Support must activate the ITK Receipt (QF976) in your organisation's EMIS Web Configuration Form. The activation allows ITK messages to be exchanged, ensuring bookings from 111 are successfully routed to and managed within your Workflow Manager.
Configure Appointment Book
To allocate specific slots for 111, navigate to Appointments within your EMIS Web system. You will need to reserve slots exclusively for 111 Direct Booking by filtering them through your developed Organisation Group. This ensures that only the chosen 111 providers can see and book these slots, maintaining the integrity of the booking system.
Enabling 111 Direct Bookings through ITK messaging helps streamline urgent care access, reducing administrative efforts and enhancing patient support.
For further help with configuring your system, reach out to your regional DoS Lead to ensure your settings align with their protocols and for any additional guidance.
