Hero Health - EMIS Web Support Guide

How can I identify which external organisation booked an appointment in my EMIS PCN Hub if only a generic name appears?

When an external organisation books an appointment into your EMIS PCN Hub, the organisation's name isn't directly displayed—only a generic label like "Booking Organisation Telecom" is shown. However, you can identify the booking organisation by creating a Population Report in EMIS Web focused on the patient's registered GP Practice.

How to Identify the Booking Organisation:

  • Access your EMIS Web and create a new Population Report.
  • Use the 'Consultations' data area for the report.
  • Navigate through the Patient Details fields and select 'Organisation Name of the Usual GP (Extended Services)'.
  • Run this report to generate a list of booking organisations associated with your appointments.
By employing this method, practices can allocate their resources more efficiently and ensure seamless coordination between different healthcare providers.

While a straightforward contact detail may not suffice, this reporting functionality provides a concrete method to derive crucial booking information, ultimately enhancing administrative processes.
