When you are consulting or adding information to a patient record, EMIS Web will capture SNOMED codes - either directly from you (the user) or in the background.

Taken together, the library of SNOMED codes and EMIS' forced structured coding, give you the building blocks for rich clinical reporting.

Clinical reporting can either be useful on an individual patient level (e.g. show me all information in this patient's record related to the significant problem of asthma), or at a practice level (e.g., show me all diabetics we've treated in the last year).
