Using Hero, you can retrieve coded items from EMIS Web’s consulting module, and raise invoices within Hero for these items.

Your patient’s details will automatically be retrieved from EMIS Web, and you can then set a billpayer to receive the invoice. By default, the patient will be set as the patient, however you can adjust the billpayer to be a different individual (e.g., a parent) or an organisation such as an employer.

Invoices can be sent to patients by SMS or Email. You can set automatic reminders to ‘chase’ patients for unpaid invoices. Invoices can be set as ‘secure’ to avoid sensitive information being shared inappropriately. Once patients receive the invoice, they can then choose their own payment method.

The Hero Health platform is integrated with Xero for small business accounts. Invoices are automatically sent across into Xero.

Alternatively invoices can be downloaded as a CSV report, and uploaded into separate accounting packages.
